CHAPTER LEADERSHIP
I've been honored to be Lake Forest High School's Chapter President for the past two years! Throughout my time as CP, I've led my delegation to numerous conventions and events and organized and hosted two Chap Cons: OlympiCON 2018 and HistoriCON 2019! I've learned so much from my chapter members and have come to understand the challenges and responsibility of Chapter-level leadership.
MIDWEST CABINET
My sophomore year, I was a Debate Agent for Midwest Cabinet. This incredible experience sharpened my skills in communication, writing, and quick thinking. I also served as an FEC agent for the 2018 Midwest elections. I gained knowledge and appreciation for the election process in which I am now partaking.
CONGRESS CABINET
Sophomore year, I was Midwest Bill Director for MidSoHio Winter Congress 2018. This year, I was back on Congress Cabinet as the Convention Bill Director. Congress Cabinet introduced the work of a director, and helped me develop organizational skills, as well as leadership skills by instructing and guiding State Bill Directors.
NATIONAL CABINET
I am honored to serve as this year's National Director of Debate, which is an unparalleled opportunity to holistically understand JSA as a national organization. As National Director of Debate, I write National Debate Resolutions, Thought Talks, Governor's Gavel and National Debates of the Month. I helped run the pre-Midterm Webinar and collected and analyzed information about speakers across the country. I consistently work with important deadlines that cannot be missed, for they impact debate around the country. I am also working with an end goal in mind: to permanently further debate across the country and leave behind a legacy that my successor can improve upon. This is the same mentality with which I would enter the position of Midwest Governor. I feel that through the positions in which I have served, I have become a versatile and confident leader.
